This would cause a large decrease in plankton and smaller fish like benthic invertebrates, and benthic fish. Plankton is very important to its ecosystem because it holds energy and when consumed by other fish or zooplankton (a larger kind of a similar plankton) they pace or that energy. But they also “recycle” carbon and sulfur debri in the water. If this population were to decrease it could effect us with worse drinking water or simply unsanitary water what ever the matter.
Conservation Plan: conserving the bluefin tuna’s habitat take a few different factors. First, the government of the countries around the atlantic and the mediterranean need to inform the people of the endangered species of the bluefin tuna. Next, they should make a special fishing licence for the bluefin tuna. the average price is $2,000 to $20,000 thousand. The median of the two is $11,000. the licence should be about 10% of the price which is about $1,100 dollars and that would only let people catch under a ton a day. Also they should get a certain number of bluefin tuna and put them in a safe location so they can breed. Keep at least 2 fish from the group and keep them for breeding then send the rest out into the open waters.
